Questions I usually get about a shoot...

What should I wear?

Bright colors and clothing with patterns are best.  White is not preferable because tends to give a washed out look.

What should I bring?

You don't have to bring anything, but I find it more fun when you bring something personal.  It could be your child's favorite toy, hairbows for your baby girl, special blankets, etc.  You can bring any props that you would like!

How long does a session last?

It could last anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours.  Typically, newborns take the longest to shoot.

What if my newborn is not sleepy?

If your newborn is not sleepy during the session, we can still get great shots.  If you prefer the newborn sleepy look, then we can reschedule for another day or take a break until the baby is ready to nap.  That is why newborn sessions take so long.

When can I expect to receive my disc of photographs?

3-5 days is my timeline right now.  I get so excited and will edit 1 or 2 almost immediately.  I like to send little samples while I'm editing when I can.

Where should I print my photographs at?

If you are looking for a quick print, I recommend Walgreens.  If you want a matte finish that looks more professional, you can also print at Walgreens and you will need to choose to have the print mailed to you.  Another online resource is mpix.com.

When should I schedule a newborn shoot?

The first 5 days of life if possible.  The younger they are, the more they sleep (usually ).

What time should I schedule my pictures?

Early morning light and evening light are the best for outdoor photos.
